Childhood impressions of Shantiniketan is an integral part of the persona my mind carries unknowingly. This was perhaps the beginning of the yearning of my hands to work. This lead me to my formal training at Indian Institute of Crafts & Design, Jaipur.

Here my senses were honed further. Eventually, I found myself working with wood carvers and iron smiths at Shantiniketan, West Bengal crafting handmade lifestyle products.

This was when “Taru” as a brand was conceived.
